It’s funny that people know when they aren’t well, but can’t always define wellness. It’s a balanced state that each of needs to achieve to maintain optimum health. And let’s face it: Everyone has some facet of their life that they feel they want to improve: reducing stress, improving eating habits, having more energy. What holistic nutrition and counseling helps you discover is that your body can heal itself when you are brought into balance, and it doesn’t need to be complicated.
Your journey to optimum wellness begins with a free, 15-minute call with me to get to know you a little and go over the paperwork you’ll be filling out.
Prior to our next meeting, I will send you a Lifestyle Assessment Form. It takes only a few minutes to complete. You’ll be asked about your goals, your habits and family history. You will also fill out a Wellness Indicator & Symptom Evaluation Form. This is an invaluable tool to aid me as your practitioner to pinpoint areas of stress and imbalance. Again, it’s a simple-to-use form, which will take about 10-15 minutes to complete.
A 60-minute “discovery session” is then done with me, either in-person, via Skype or over the phone to review your initial assessment form; further discussion, analysis and goal setting are all part of this step. This is all about developing a unique program for YOU. (Cookie cutters belong in a kitchen, not in a wellness plan, and I cringe when I see one-size-fits-all programs. They just. Don’t. Work.)
Follow-up meetings can be scheduled as needed to check your progress and stay on track. Again, each person is different. Some need little coaching, others require weekly check-ins – it’s up to you how to proceed.
Overall, I am your coach, your counselor and cheerleader. I have been there, so I know how good it feels to feel good! No one deserves to struggle day in and day out with stress and all the negative baggage it brings along with it. You can win the stress game, and I’d love to be the person who helps you be successful.
